John’s Automotive gave me a very incorrect analysis of what was wrong with my car. I asked them to find out why it wouldn’t smog, and got an analysis of everything that didn’t pertain to this car getting smogged. He also said I had a bad exhaust manifold and they quoted $1100 to fix it. The manifold is fine and it just required a couple of bolts to fix. The counter guy said that you really have to get your hands dirty to analyze the manifold, which is not at all true. He then said that the oil and water was low which may have been true being I just took it on a desert trip, over mountains about 350 miles. The fix for that is: oil and water. The guy seemed to be grasping for straws, when I asked him why I still haven’t received an answer as to why the car wouldn’t smog, he said, his shop has integrity and they cannot smog such a dangerous car, but other shops can do it. They also overfilled the oil. John’s Automotive should do what the customer wants, not what they want. If they can’t do what the customer wants, they should refuse the job. They also couldn’t have been further off about the manifold. I also feel that they couldn’t figure out my smog problem so they just told me to get rid of the car.

Once again John's Automotive Care has come through with flying colors! When my Chrysler Crossfire stalled out coming off freeway and failed to restart at 9:00 at night i had it towed to their shop (without an appointment), left brief message on what happened to car and sadly went home hoping it wasn't a broken timing chain and if they would be able to schedule a service date. The next morning Brian called surprised to see my car sitting in the parking lot and confirmed they would have the problem diagnosed and protect the car from the elements (it's a garaged vehicle). To my relief it was a bad fuel pump and relay switches. Brian was able to find replacement parts and in a couple days I was back on the street cruising my Crossfire. A very timely fix under the circumstances and reasonable cost. That's what they do, personalized service, quality repairs at a good price and advise on future service requirements that I should keep a close eye on. Brian and John's Automotive Care team lets you sleep in peace! The BEST place to take your vehicle for repairs.

Brian and the guys at John's were honest, transparent and did a great service on my vehicle that was priced more than fair. Its hard going to a new mechanic when you've used the same one for so many years. That was my circumstance and I couldn't feel more confident in finding a new mechanic going forward with John's.
