Our Team - John's Automotive Care La Mesa

John

John opened up JAC in April 1998 and was the only employee for the first three years. His career in the automotive field started when he turned 16, and he has been working full time ever since 1983. John is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has been since 1999. When not at the shop, his love for sports takes him from the soccer fields to the OTL courts at Fiesta island. Collecting baseball cards and working with his favorite nonprofits like The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County and The Automotive Service Councils of California.

Dylan

Dylan is one of our Customer Service Specialists, and he has been a great addition to our JAC family. Dylan is currently attending Cuyamaca College, where he is studying automotive repair. When not at work or school, Dylan enjoys spending time with his four children, Leondra, Melina, Jose and Ashleighn. He also manages to find time in his very busy schedule to enjoy a few hobbies like playing computer games and paintball.

Brian

Brian has been working in the automotive field since 1996. He worked in his father’s automotive shop up until his father retired in 2006, and John’s Automotive Care was lucky enough to snatch him up in May 2018. As a Service Advisor, Brian’s automotive knowledge and passion for honest, high-quality customer service, makes him an invaluable part of the JAC team. On the weekends you can find Brian playing his saxophone with one of his bands in San Diego or even Los Angeles! He loves board games, BBQ's and cats that snuggle!

Jay

Jay is one of our service advisors and he makes a big impact upfront in the automotive field and has been in the automotive field since 2016. Jay is married to his beautiful wife Megan and together they have two boys Samuel and Ethan. Outside of work Jay loves to be at the beach, desert or even at the little league fields with his oldest son. Jay really enjoys diesel pick ups with performance and off-road suspension and riding three wheelers at the desert.

Juan

Juan joined the JAC family in 2022 but has been in the automotive field since 1997. Juan's positive attitude and hard work has been a vital asset to the team. He is supported by his wife Rebecca and his three kids. Violeta, Sergio, and Yuriko. On his free time Juan enjoys spending quality time with his family, going to the movie theatre, and taking trips to Ensenada for the seafood!

Ben

Ben's journey with cars spans over 32 years, with 27 of those as an ASE Certified Master Technician. His unmatched expertise and passion for automotive repair make him an invaluable part of our team at John's Automotive Care. When he’s not under the hood, Ben is all about family time—whether it’s movie nights, neighborhood bike rides, or scenic walks with his wife and child. We’re lucky to have his skill and dedication on our side!

Matt

Matt started his journey at JAC in 2020, initially working behind the scenes. In 2021, he transitioned to a shop helper role, where he eagerly absorbed new skills daily to advance toward becoming a technician. By early 2024, Matt embarked on a new path in the service advisor field. Outside of the office, Matt enjoys fishing, golfing , traveling, and hanging out with friends.

Cameron

Cameron is new to the automotive industry but is eager to learn new things. Cameron's been with us since March of 2022 and is picking up on many things quickly. He has a certification in CompTIA A+. When Cameron's not at work, he likes to fix broken computers and work on cars.
