Jay, Dylan, Brian, and the entire front and back staff are just so great. I came in on Tuesday needing an oil change and front brakes.I knew I had a noise in my car. Dylan took it for a drive with me. He was able to hear the same noise I was. Dylan then explain to me what was going in the brakes. He also reassured me they would thoroughly inspect brakes and send pictures with an estimate for my approval. By lunch I had pictures and cost estimate. I was with my car just before 5 pm eating dinner with my son. I did make an appointment ahead, but it was so great to get my car in and out. Thank you again to the entire crew you made my Tuesday!

This is my new shop! I'm pretty new to San Diego and I'm so glad I found John's Automotive! I brought in my Subaru for an oil change and overall check up, and this was by far the BEST experience I have ever had in an auto shop. And I grew up around cars, my dad being a big car guy, so I've been in a fair share of shops over the years. The customer service was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they now have a loyal customer! It's not easy to find a great shop with great prices and great service - this place has it all! Historically, shops have tried to upsell or try to show me things that now need "fixing" that were fine before. While (and luckily) I do know a bit about cars, it seems mechanics have tried to capitalize on the situation, I assume because I'm female. None of that was happening during my time here! Even the few minor things that needed attention were simply pointed out and there were no surprise fees or "extras". I felt that they were honest, helpful, and I will absolutely be back as a loyal customer and recommend this shop to everyone!

These guys are amazing! They fixed my check DRL light. Because it's a small bulb replacement, they haven't charged me for either diagnostics or for the labour. Would recommend 100%.

Easy appointment system. Easy to find. Kind and personable staff. No shaming around car care (or lack thereof) which is great for people with anxiety like myself. Communication is great and easy to follow up on. Service was efficient and fast. Shuttle service available to locals. Will be making this my new auto shop.

Pricing was fair, well explained and reasonable for all the work I had done on my car. The guys at this business are thorough and genuine. As a new resident of this community, I feel relieved to have found such a wonderful mechanic to trust with my car! Looking forward to returning in the future.
