John's automotive took care of the business that need taking care of without trying to add services that weren't needed.

I love coming here with my car, there are so many great things to say! I came here first to get it inspected immediately after purchasing the car and have come for maintenance and oil changes since then. It feels nice having a place to go to where they know your car and recognize changes in it over time. The waiting area is filled with yummy snacks and coffee. I appreciate the thorough inspections they give me that include areas my car is doing well in, areas to continue monitoring and anything that needs to be addressed asap. In this last visit today they noticed my oil starting to collect some and called my car dealership to ensure I was still under a warranty so I could get further inspection and help from them under my warranty. They also rotated my tires complimentary as that was definitely needed. One of the workers, Brian, answers my car questions which is great since I don't know cars very well. The place does a shuttle to work or home which is super convenient and the guy who drove was very kind and pleasant to talk with. Lastly, the prices are reasonable and for the hard work and great customer service, it's worth every penny. Thanks for always taking care of my car so well! Good customer services

Always helpful always kind and patient with me and my kids.

My whole family has been going to John's in Mission Valley since Joseph started working there (he's my uncle/godfather pretty much)...which is probably since 2012 or there abouts? So glad they have a La Mesa shop now! Lately we have had some real trouble with both mine and my husband's car. And it's been real random issues too, which are always harder to figure out and fix. And now having a baby, it is waaaay harder to coordinate being without a car since we need a carseat and we both work. We can't just order an uber/lyft to get home anymore if the baby is with us. There was an instance with my husband's dodge charger and John's ate a large chunk of the repair costs cause just when they thought they fixed the issue, something else happened. It was a week long ordeal and even had the car sitting in the shop while parts were coming down from LA. That was sucky and total worst case scenario, BUT they did what was RIGHT. Literally Wile E. coyote style trying to plug up the leaking dam with every finger and toe as it springs ANOTHER leak. Pretty sure they now think "oh no, what now" when his car shows up. Hahah!! But they try their best to get us on our way and are fair while they do it. John's has been really understanding and good about what repairs are needed now, and what can wait. As usual the service was great. I am so grateful that you followed up with me on the battery problem and even helped me deal with the Auto Zone people.
